Introducing Alex West

I am the SENDCo at Willoughby Academy and started my current role in September of this academic year. I have been working within the world of special educational needs for the last eleven years and have been teaching for twenty. I also spent a year working as a casework officer for a Local Authority during the SEND reforms, where I learnt a lot about EHCPs and SEND legislation. In my free time, I enjoy going on walks with my husband and our ‘naughty’ beagle Benson. I like being active and have just started Hot Yoga and Crossfit classes. I look forward to meeting you all again this academic year.
